Alex Schultz and Pete Karinen had a busy weekend of racing this past weekend. Alex was out in Colorado racing the 100 mile Telluride 100 MTB race. He placed in the top 10!
Pete Karinen was at Cascade Mountain in Wisconsin, racing the WORS CUP PRO XCT. The WORS CUP draws professional racers from around the world.
Day 1 of racing was the cross country race. Pete pushed hard through the many laps and finished 23rd in a field of 27.
Day two of racing was the short track race. Short track is an extremely fast-paced race on a short track (thus the name “short track”). Generally the racers go as hard as they can for about 20 minutes + 3 laps. Again, Pete battled against talented pro racers from Australia, Colorado, Montana, and Wisconsin. He placed 16th in a field of 23.
Throughout the whole weekend, Pete was the youngest pro rider out there. We are so proud of him for representing our little Upper Peninsula so well!
