Some of our best junior skiers competed at Jr. Nationals held at Trapp Family Lodge in Vermont this year. Skiing against some very good competition, our skiers tuned in some solid performances.
In the classic races, the ski tigers were led by Issac Stone, finishing in 46th, with David Jaszczak getting 60th and Zeb Featherly coming at 68th in their age group. In the 18-19yr, group, Dan Wood posted a solid 48th place. For the girls, Isabel Sharp took a 63rd, with Sarah Lyle getting 71st. In the 14-15 yr. group, Rebecca Lyle came in at 63rd.
In the skate races,it was David Jaszczak leading our local skiers in at 32nd, followed by Isaac Stone in 47th and Zeb Featherly in 62nd. Dan Wood came in at 36th for the older juniors. The girls posted similar results in the skate races with Isabel Sharp getting 53rd and Sarah Lyle in 66th. Rebecca Lyle again got a 63rd in the younger girls race.
I’m sure Nationals were a great experience for all of our racers and they know what to expect next time. Now they’ll be setting their sights on making it to nationals next year! Congratulations to all of our skiers on a fine race season!
