It was another epic weekend in Copper Harbor..not because of the racing but because of the 50mph winds that ushed in the weekend of events. From friday until saturday the town was battered with rains and wind that managed to drop hundreds of trees across the race trails(as well as the roads). Thanks to a large group of volunteers, the trees were removed by Saturday afternoon just in time for the inaugural Super D race. While over 40 participated in the Super D, another 350 converged for Sunday’s distance races. Adventure 212 took three of the top titles with our own Pete Karinen hitting it hard to take home the fourth of the prized ‘wheel’ trophies.
